Deuster Hall  Sports Hall

The new two-court school sports hall with open all-day care and parking garage in Deusterpark replaces the old single-court school sports hall. The sports hall, located on the hillside on the first floor, is connected to the dining room of the all-day care area via a gallery.

Technical Design

We were commissioned to construct the metal façade for the new Deusterhalle building in Kitzingen. In collaboration with Klein Sänger Architekten from Munich, we developed a functional and robust solution that combines clear design with technical precision and durability.

The facade consists of 2.0 mm thick, custom-made aluminum meander panels, some of which have been perforated. The elongated hole perforation is staggered, with a hole spacing of 6 mm. After the meander panels were folded, they were anodized to ensure a uniform surface and corrosion protection.

The panels were mounted with visible head-coated screws to ensure a precise and robust connection. This type of fastening emphasizes the industrial design language of the façade.

The parapet was also made of 2.0 mm aluminum and anodized in C32 to maintain the design unity of the façade cladding.
