Fit AG Administration building of FIT AG

The FIT AG

FIT AG is an internationally successful company in the production of components for 3D printing technology. The range of services includes the production of prototypes, 3D-printed spare parts and final components up to series and mass production. On Technology Day 2018, FIT AG opened its new administration building for more than 200 workplaces.

Technical execution

First of all, a spacer substructure was installed according to static specifications, which was fully insulated. Due to the partially open outer cladding, the façade insulation had to be protected with a special sheeting that simultaneously made it "invisible". A black Stamisol FI membrane was used for slightly open facades with joints.

Metal cladding was now attached to a further distance substructure. This unique façade structure was developed especially for this project, punched with our TruPunch 5000 and then folded in a trapezoidal shape. To ensure that the transparent metal surface presents itself in an ever-changing play of colors in changing daylight and sunlight and at different temperatures, the stainless steel sheet was anodized and then embossed with an old embossing machine from the 1950s.
