School and sports centre Nägelsee Lohr
Technical information
This construction site extended for our company over a period of more than 5 years. While sustainable and waterproof flat roofs made of stainless steel are becoming increasingly popular in the public building sector, this was also the case at the Nägelsee Centre in Lohr.
In addition to the flat roof, the façade was also part of our scope of services. When selecting the materials, great importance was attached to a long service life and low maintenance costs. For example, surface-finished steel panels are used on the ventilated façade of the school centre, which are mounted horizontally in a composite structure and have different heights and widths.
The renovation of the sports centre was carried out according to the same system. Only the facade cladding differs in shape and colour. The steel sheets, which are edged to form zigzag panels, are coated in three shades of green and visibly fixed to the substructure.
The efficient insulation of the building envelope and the sustainable heat supply should reduce annual CO2 emissions and energy costs by 70%.
